AVAA Bylaws • Article III – Membership • Remove requirement of AAA or ASHA membership or certification by any organization other than state licensure. • Addition of several categories of membership • Contributing Member – recognizing payment of voluntary dues • Adjunct Member – non-audiologist VA employees involved in provision of hearing or hearing aid related services • Affiliated Member – contractually authorized manufacturers’ representatives on Government services team

  3. AVAA Bylaws • Article VI – Committees • Creation of Education Committee as standing committee for purposes of organizing the annual meeting. • Clarify and better define role of Nominations and Awards Committee.

  4. AVAA Bylaws • Article XI – Financial Support for AVAA • Add voluntary dues as an additional source of revenue. Funds gathered from this will be used for educational purposes.

  5. AVAA Bylaws • Next Step • Full text with all amendments to be sent to current AVAA membership • Allow at least 30 days for review • Up/Down vote to be taken • Results announced after vote tally
