What is Brochure ? • Brochure is a type of leaflet. • Brochures may advertise locations,events,hotels,products,services etc. • The two most common brochure styles are single sheet and booklet forums. • Brochures are often printed using four color process on thick gloss paper to give an initial impression of quality.

  3. Decide on a concept, theme and structure • Judging the useness of brochure design is to be done whether it will be used for direct mail marketing or for information or to advertise products. • Need to know the information for the brochure in order to choose the design for it.

  4. Be Unique and Creative • Brochure design must be original and unique. • Think of a design that will stand out and outshine the rest. • Make the design original and give them a good identity.

  5. Know the print prize • Create a brochure in an 8.5*13 layout. • Designing the brochure in 8.5*11 layout may ruin your design. • Use the right paper size in making the layout

  6. Use high resolution • Use high resolution in your layout to make your design look pleasing. • use at least 300 dpi to have a sharp and crisp print output.

  7. Usage of Fonts • Selection of fonts is important. • Choose the ones that will fit the purpose of the brochure and the company. • Use bold fonts for headings. • For highlighting text using of glow, bevel or drop shadow can be done.

  8. Make attention grabbing designs • Make sure that your brochure is attention grabber. • Use your creativity in doing this. • Make sure that you make eye catchy design.

  9. Make an interesting cover • The cover is an important aspect in brochure designing. • It attracts and welcomes the customer to enter your world of vast information • It should use minimal words and vibrant imagery.
