  1. LCD Vs LED Display Thinking about buying a new monitor or laptop screen, but cannot decide upon a LCD vs LED display? In this article, we will explain the differences in LCD and LED technology when used in these devices and how it may affect your buying decision.

  2. LED vs LCD Technology LCD is an acronym for Liquid Crystal Display. The liquid crystals are placed in front of a fluorescent lamp light source, which produces very clear images. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. It uses the same liquid crystals as LCD displays, but the LEDs are the light source. LED is the more advanced technology between LCD and LED.

  3. LED vs LCD Laptops Computer manufacturers use LCD or LED technology in their production of laptop screens. LED screens are being used more frequently on laptop computers as they produce a brighter pictures, clearer images, and also use less power to run the display. If you have a choice between a laptop with a LED or LCD display, choosing the computer with the LED screen is a better decision. A laptop with a Light Emitting Diode screen will use much less battery power and will also produce better quality images.

  4. LED vs LCD Monitors LED monitors again are considerably better than LCD monitors. A Light Emitting Diode monitor will have a much sharper contrast ratio compared to a LCD monitor. The contrast ratio is much better on a LED monitor as it does not allow light to escape from the pixels, which LCD displays allow. LED monitors will also use much less power than a LCD monitor. This lower energy consumption will in the long run save you money over an extended amount of time.

  5. In the end, choosing between LCD vs LED displays is your own decision. For some people, the money saved upfront on a LCD screen is enough to sacrifice picture quality and energy use.
