  1. 6 Simple Things You Can Do TODAY to Improve Your Physical Therapy Practice Between taking care of your patients and running the day-to-day operations of your practice, you probably don’t have much time to spare. But don’t worry—these won’t take long. In this blog, we enumerate a few things you can do RIGHT NOW to improve your practice—from simply smiling at your front-office staff to something more involved, like using your physical therapy practice management software to analyze your trajectory. Let’s start! #1: Ask one or two of your favorite patients to write an online review for your clinic. It’s true that you can use a review generation tool to email your patients and ask them to write online reviews for you. But this may feel a tad bit impersonal. The best way to get a 5-star recommendation is to directly ask a patient for one. Choose someone whom you know will talk about your PT practice favorably. #2: Show some love for your staff. The people in your staff tirelessly work all day to keep your practice humming, provide you with the support you need, and make your patients happy. When was the last time you said a sincere thank you to them? A smile can go a long way—but it’s even better if you can order some pizza or sushi on a Friday to really drive the message home. When your front-desk, clinical, and billing staff feel appreciated, they will work harder to help ensure the success of your practice. #3: Customize your documentation template. Use your physical therapy documentation software to customize a template—change exercises, remove unnecessary or unwanted fields, reorder things, etc. Your goal should be to get a tailor fit that can make everyday operations much easier. Every minute you devote to

  2. customizing your documentation templates will pay you back in time savings on every note you write. #4: Introduce yourself to a potential referrer. Think of any new potential referrers in your locality, and then take time to sit down and call them to let them know that you’re able to accept new patients. Tell them about yourself and your PT practice. Make it clear that your line is open whenever they need to communicate with you. #5: Run a report in your PT software and compare the date to the previous year. If you’re using a good type of physical therapy practice management software then this should be easy. Pick one report this year and run it. After this, run the same report for the same dates/period last year, and compare the data. Here’s an example: How many patients did you see for the month of June last year, and how many did you see for the same month this year? This is a great way to see if you’re meeting growth targets and figure out ways to do better. If you’re still using a clunky old platform that doesn’t allow you to quickly do this and more, then it may be time to switch to a new PT practice management solution. A robust platform can streamline your internal processes, save you money, and ultimately create a more pleasant experience for your patients. From making the patient onboarding process easier to ensuring the efficiency of claims and billing, a good program can give you the tools you need to grow your practice and make it financially viable. Try Apollo Practice Management. It’s one of the best physical therapy software solutions in the market today, having been designed by PTs for PTs. It’s an online platform that can be accessed using compatible device, so it doesn’t cost much time and money to implement. Schedule a demo today to see how it can help you!
