  6. 2017-20 Goals and Actions from our School Plan For Student Achievement

Goal 2- Implementation of State Standards • Teachers implement the district adopted ELA/ELD and Math curriculum and supports including use of technology components and resources to teach the state standards and increase CAASPP and District Benchmark scores. Teachers will use collaborative planning time to plan implementation of the standards and analyze data from state and/or local assessments and use it to inform instruction. • Provide site specific professional learning in the areas of ELA/ELD, Math, and technology integration along with resources to assist with their implementation of state standards to increase scores on CAASPP, district benchmark, redesignation and proficiency rates.

  8. Goal 2- Implementation of State Standards • In addition to 30 min. of daily ELD instruction, provide intervention and support to our at-risk EL students to increase redesignation and proficiency rates. • Teachers in TIP (Technology Integration Project) will receive professional learning on integrating technology into core subject areas, with an emphasis on instructional strategies, student work products and online resources to increase student proficiency on the CAASPP and district benchmark assessments.

  9. Goal 3- Parent Engagement • Parent meetings will be held on LCAP initiatives, Single School Plan and other school related topics to involve parents in the site decision-making process and improve student and parent connectedness. Goal 4- Pupil Achievement • School will provide English Learner program support for teachers through professional learning on ELD standards, ELD strategies and ELPAC requirements. Support will include data analysis to make informed decisions regarding instructional practices to improve ELPAC scores, proficiency and redesignation rates.

Goal 5- Pupil Engagement • School provides mental health, social and emotional supports for eligible students needing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to engage students and increase school attendance and decrease chronic absenteeism. • Provide a Response to Intervention program to work with students who are performing below grade-level standards especially English Learners, Low Income and Foster Youth to improve academic proficiency and increase school attendance and decrease chronic absenteeism.

  11. Goal 6- School Climate • School will implement the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports framework to maintain a low suspension rate and increase safety and school connectedness by students, parents and teachers.

  12. Goal 7- Course Access • Continue to implement the EIE (Engineering is Elementary) program with our fifth and sixth grade students in conjunction with the next generation science standards to provide quality instruction and guidance in a broad course of study. • Provide opportunities to expand the visual and performing arts program at our school to provide quality instruction and guidance in a broad course of study. • School will provide support and guidance to teachers focused on enhancing and improving our existing GATE program for eligible fourth-sixth grade students to improve CAASPP scores. • Provide opportunities to expand the science program at our school to provide quality instruction and guidance on the Next Generation Science Standards to improve California Science Test scores.

Goal 8- Other Pupil Outcomes • Provide students opportunities to prepare them for college and career readiness by having a Student Council for students to practice leadership skills and improve on the CAASPP test. • Provide students opportunities to prepare them for college and career readiness by having a College and Career Day.
