  1. The Math Topics • To have a career in Marine Biology you have to have taken applied math. You also have to take chemistry and physics which are two science classes that involve a lot of math.

  2. Educational Requirements • There are a few different choices for education that you can have for this career. You can get a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, or a Doctoral degree. If you get the Bachelor’s degree then you will not make that much money and it will be hard to get a job. The best choice would be to get a Doctoral degree because you would get a lot more money and you would have a stable career.

  3. Average Yearly Salary • This job salary varies a lot. The lowest amount is around $36,000. The average amount is around $43,000-$71,000. the percent that is highest paid is around $90,000 but you can get higher if you work for private companies.

  4. Job Location • Do work in this job it is preferred that you work near the coast of an ocean. You can work somewhere else and study fish tanks but you will not get as much money.

  5. Description • In this job you Study the marine life of animals and plants of all different kinds. They count the fish and they also do test on the water to check its nutrients to make sure there is not that much pollution and the fish can stay healthy. Counting the fish and the species requires statistics which is a type of math.
