  1. Regulation 6 of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulation, 2013 provides an examination for the CHA License under the Regulation 4 with the eligibility criteria mentioned in Regulation 5 and 6. Each year the number of the applicants are increasingly increasing compare to previous years. For the success in the logistics sector, this is a good and positive sign. As the ICD’s and new ports are coming, the requirement of a large number of qualified and professionals CBLR’s are growing at the new Export-Import Locationsall over the country.

Before starting preparation for the CHA Examination the applicants need to ponder on a few facts, >>The last time when the applicant wrote an exam paper>>Does he/she can sit at the one place for over 3 hours without getting up and talking to anyone>>Last time when the applicant wrote in neat handwriting, formulating thoughts as he/she wrote

  3. Writing practice is must if you’re preparing for CHA Examination. If you’re not writing from a very long period then write at least 4 full scape pages without break and leaving the place on a topic of your choice.Increase the number of the pages and tackle this challenge by writing at least 15 pages per day. Do this practice till your exam. This practice is required to overcome your biggest obstacle.

Read topics such as Incoterms, WTO, WCO, Evolution of customs in the liberalized economy of India, Customs in modern times and many more related to it.When you’re giving the answer about which includes any legal terms, it is very important that you use terminology as provided in the Acts. Mention it and not colloquial terms or any local terms.

Use the such teams like “proper officer”, “for the time being in force”, “mens rea”, “or similar”, “ignorance of the law is no excuse”, “prospective”, “retrospective”, “export not exported”, “imported not import”, “ignorance of the law is no excuse”, “proactive”, “principal”, “agent”, and many more as much as possible. Also by writing the name of the Acts including the year and public notice with the full number of it would add more value to your answers.

  8. Another question often rises in many of your heads, how much should you write in the exam. Writing long answers is not the key, writing effective answer is the key. There is no particular guideline for writing an answer. But when you’re writing an answer for 4 or 5 marks question then write for at least one and a half full scape sheet at least. Other you must go proportionately or longer depends on the question containing the normal content.

  9. Just make sure one thing that the total answers should not be less than 30 to 35 sheets when the complete justice is to be given while answering the questions.

  10. Things you need to focus while writing the regulation 6 examination paper, >>Write in neat handwriting>>Spend time in answering the questions so that the complete paper is attempted>>Review the paper before handing over to the examiner
