  3. Roses Roses are more than 2500 years old friends of human beings. They have very strong appeal to human aesthetics. This is why, they are with human beings for such a long period of time. A rose is a woody perennial of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosacea. There are more than 100 species of roses known today. Most of rose species are native of Asia, with a smaller number of rose species native of Europe, North America, and Northwest Africa. Species like cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beautiful appearance and appreciated for their pleasant fragrance. Roses

  4. Quotations • “Roses and thorns are parts of the same plant. Somehow though, some people are concerned mainly about the roses. The rose is not on the plant for more than a week, but the thorns are there forever.Roses are teaching that the beauty of life will bloom, once you have taught yourself the lessons given by living with the thorns.” ― Grigoris Deoudis • “But he who dares not grasp the thorn Should never crave the rose.” ― Anne Brontë • Love is like the wild rose-briar; • Friendship like the holly-tree. • The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms, • But which will bloom most constantly? • ― Emily Bronte Roses

Quotations Man is harder than iron, stronger than stone and more fragile than a rose. - Turkish Proverb The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious to the rose. - Khalil Gibran What's in a name? 6. Symbolism Rose colors symbolize soft feelings for many special occasions. They reflect true feelings of hearts. A proverb goes on to signify this as, “A word said is a word lost.” In order to save a word, choose the right color of a rose for a friend. It's no surprise that roses are among the most admired and evocative of all flowers. They convey the inner feelings of a friend to another in a most sophisticated manner. Roses
