  1. ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION IN INTERIORS With the latest developments and innovations in technological advancement Interior spaces have been transformed dramatically. Robotics and automation are leading us towards a future, not very different from the versions of popular science fictions. Among designers, the trend is spreading across a variety of applications and scales, from smart cities to smart kitchens, from toilet seats to mood enhancement aiming for a safer and more comfortable interiors. Some dominant types of Automations already gaining popularity are – https://jdinstitute.co/ +91 11 - 2696 0821

  2. CHANGING DÉCOR – USING ROBOTICS: Robots today not only improve functional performance, they can also extend their utility in enhancing aesthetics of a space. In 2018, Carlo Ratti Association unveiled Scribit, a “writing robot” which draws images and text on any wall surface, turning office, living areas, and bathroom walls into a blank canvas for artistic expression. Using in-built engines, Scribit can draw, cancel, and re-draw new content an infinite number of times, allowing users to print different images, messages, or feeds every day. Any data sent by the user like menu of a restaurant, or any office updates can be reproduced by SCRIBIT on the wall. https://jdinstitute.co/ +91 11 - 2696 0821

  3. FURNITURE: In pursuit of a more comfortable, efficient living, Start-up innovators Bumblebee Spaces have created a robotic Artificial Intelligence butler furniture system that drops down from overhead controlled from a command. Bumblebee system also creates a log of items kept in its timber storage cubes for long periods of time, gently reminding the user of when it may be time to let go of their long-forgotten possessions. iPad/ tablets or by voice https://jdinstitute.co/ +91 11 - 2696 0821

  4. LIGHTING AND HEATING: Automated lighting controls have the potential to save energy drastically for domestic/ industrial purposes by limiting excess light in unoccupied rooms, while also enhancing occupant safety and convenience. One such example is a product called Gira, whose system of automatic lighting control extends through home entrances, drives, hallways, and staircases. Meanwhile, the MIT Senseable City Lab has, explored the possibilities of a thermal cloud following humans through interior space. This thermal cloud would allow for infrared heating elements to merge with motion tracking, creating a precise personal climate for every occupant of interior spaces, enhancing comfort while reducing unnecessary heating of empty rooms. https://jdinstitute.co/ +91 11 - 2696 0821

  5. BATHROOMS: While smart mirrors offer possibilities such as reading the news while brushing teeth, a new generation of showers is promising to save up to 90% of water and 80% of energy. From body dryers to health-checking toothbrushes, to drawers that warm your towels, to flooring that sends out an alert if you fall, the possibilities seem endless.
