  3. A new verb & it’s IRREGULAR !!!!! • IR = “to go” • I go = Yo voy • You go = Tú vas • To say that you are going somewhere… you say: • Yo voy a (+ wherever you are going). Remember this vocab??? Me gusta ir a la escuela. (I like to go to school.) & Me gusta ir al cine. (I like to go to the movies.)

So… practice…. • How do you say…… • I go to school. • Yo voy a la escuela. • You go to school. • Tú vas a la escuela. • How do you say…… • I go to to the movies. • Yo voy al cine. • You go to the movies. • Tú vas al cine. GRAMMAR NOTE: a + la = a la ….. as in “a la escuela” a + el = al …… as in “al cine”
