  2. Ann Cameron: • Nació en Estados Unidos en 1943. • Estudió literatura en la Universidad de Harvard. • Ha publicado más de 14 títulos, los cuales los publico en diferentes lenguas. • En la actualidad vive en Guatemala donde trabaja en una biblioteca.

  3. el lugar más bonito del mundo: Juan es un niño de siete que vive en Guatemala. Abandonado por su madre es acogido por la abuela, que es muy pobre. Juan aprende el oficio de limpiar zapatos. Es inteligente, quiere aprender a leer, ir a la escuela, quizá más adelante ir a la universidad. La abuela se siente muy orgullosa de su nieto y le explica cuál es para ella el lugar más bonito del mundo.
