Response Resource Inventory • The Oil Pollution Act of 1990 mandated the creation of a national database of response resources that would be maintained by the NSFCC • 1993 the DOS-based RRI developed by NSFCC and R&D Center went into use • Industry submitted their resources to the NSFCC to be incorporated into the database • 1995 the RRI was expanded to accommodate need of OSRO Classification initiative • 2007 DOG and CG533 funded an initiative to upgrade the technologically obsolete RRI system to a web-based application.
