  3. Daniel 9:24-27 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people From the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease

  4. Echoes of Grace – 1942 • Declaring all the counsel of God for the Individual Church and Nation • ‘What confusion results from a failure to distinguish between the Jews of Judah and the ten-tribed house of Israel’ • ‘We are proclaiming the fullest message…’

  5. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none like me. Isaiah 46:9  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass. Isaiah 46:10-11 

  6. Seven reasons why we believe that Bible Prophecy is still relevant

  7. 1: Prophecy proves the Bible

  8. Jesus Christ Prophecy: I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and thou shalt bruise his heel.Genesis 3:15 He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquitiesIsaiah 53:5 Fulfilment: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs … and foreknowledge of God … have crucified and slain Acts 2:22-24

  9. Josiah Prophecy (about 975 BC): There came a man of God and cried against the altar ... a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name, and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places 1 Kings 13:1-2

  10. Josiah Fulfilment (about 629 BC) Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, Josiah brake down and stamped it small to powder. And Josiah … took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar. 2 Kings 23:15-16

  11. 2: Builds our faith Prophecy: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. Isaiah 28:11-12 Confirmation of prophecy: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. Mark 16:17

  12. 2: Builds our faith Fulfilment: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues. Acts 2:1-4 Confirmation of fulfilment: I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all. 1 Cor 14:18,21 

  13. 3: The foundation of Christianity Prophecy: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isa 7:14 For unto us a child is born … and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 But thou, Bethlehem, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth that is to be ruler in Israel. Micah 5:2

  14. 3: The foundation of Christianity Fulfilment: And Joseph also went … unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord Luke 2:4,7,11

  15. 4: An added tool for witnessing

  16. National promises Thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. Genesis 17:5-6

  17. National promises God brought him forth out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of an unicorn He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Numbers 24:8-9

  18. 5: Remove ignorance • Without understanding Bible Prophecy, there will be large gaps in your appreciation of God. • Bible Prophecy describes the whole plan and message God has for mankind. • Bible Prophecy reveals theologians who manipulate the scriptures according to their false teachings.

  20. 6: It’s interesting and exciting… Your walk in the Lord will never be boring once you start exploring the wonders of Bible Prophecy

  21. …and always more to learn Study to show yourself approved to God, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15  All scripture is given by inspiration of God that the man of God may be perfect. 2 Tim 3:14-17  Prophecy – a sure word like light that shines in a dark place, coming not from the will of man but the Holy Ghost. 2 Pet 1:19-21 

  22. 7: Prophecy – the door to the future • The end of the world • The second coming of Jesus Christ • The millennium

  23. Revelation of God’s promises Those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever. Deuteronomy 29:29 He reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. The Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy. Amos 3:7-8 The Revelation of Jesus Christ…to show to his servants things which must shortly come to pass. Revelation 1:1

  24. Prophecy to research • Is Rebecca truly the mother of thousands of millions who will possess the gate of those that hate them? Genesis 24:60 • What happened to Esau’s birthright purchased by Jacob? Genesis 25:31-34 • What does it mean ‘My bones are out of joint’ Psalm 22:14 • Where did Jeremiah ‘build and plant’? Jeremiah 1:10

  25. Prophecy to research • What is the promise ‘Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water’? John 7:37-39 • What will be the sign of Christ’s coming and the end of the world? Matthew 24; Luke 21; Daniel 12 • When will he come in the clouds and every eye see him? Revelation 1
