  3. Objective • Make science fun and relevant • Teach students how to DOscience • Understand DNA, cells, organisms, heredity, evolution, body systems • Some health topics – tobacco and alcohol awareness

  4. Technology • Will continue to use Google apps for collaboration, presentation.

  5. Textbook • Keep at home for now • Reading and Note Taking Guide will not be given out

  6. Three important websites • Teacher site–Homework, agenda, notebook table of contents, calendar • Parent Portal on Infinite Campus-Grades • PearsonSuccessNet.com – Online textbook, self-assessment, animated activity, videos, worksheets User name: bklifesci Password: fallon7

  7. Weighted Grading Test score can be improved -between 80% -70% can make corrections -below 70% can retake the test

  8. Homework • 2 to 3 times a week • Graded on completion/accuracy • Late work receives 70% credit

  9. Notebook • EVERY handout is glued in there • Notebook quiz once/twice per quarter • Grading rubric

  10. Look out for • Lab Safety Contract • Donation Letter ($10 contribution to Fallon School/Science Club or consumable items by Sep. 27)
