  2. Definition • When someone agrees with a statement/policy just because the general population does; Bandwagon.

  3. Universal Example • Holocaust • During the holocaust the German population believed everything that Hitler said. This is an example because when Hitler would give a speech, the German citizens would follow him even though his statements made no logical sense.

  4. Example #1 • When Mercy sees the yellow bird then other people start to “see” the bird. (p.224) • Mercy Lewis:“It’s on the beam! Behind the rafter!” • Abigail:“Why-? Why do you come yellow bird?” …“My face? My Face?” • Susanna Walcott: “ Her Claws, she’s stretching her claws!”

  5. Example #2 • When Abigail and Betty starts to accuse people of witchery and the mayhem begins. (pg. 189) • Hale: “Take courage, you must give us all their names. God will bless you for your help.” • Betty: “I saw George Jacobs with the Devil! I saw Goody Howe with the Devil!” • Hale: “Let the marshal bring the irons!”
