Good Job Needs Improvement All areas are not able to been seen from circulation desk or when walking around the library Computers are not in a position to constantly monitor student events Entrance on both sides of center can leads to staff walking through during instruction • Students are allowed to use any of the different areas during silent reading time once books have been checked out. • Welcoming feeling for staff and volunteers • Open area • Close to technology room • 7 -8 computers in which students have access to

  9. Good Job Needs Improvement Shelves in some areas are too close to tables or others shelves All shelves are permanent (making rearranging and monitoring students difficult) • Ample shelves for books • Areas well defined • New signage to identify areas and color coded shelf labels

Good Job Needs Improvement Height of circulation desk is too short for older student but too tall for younger students Teacher can not monitor all students when sitting at the desk • Room for 2 staff members • Plenty of storage and drawer space • Separate printer and scanner for students and staff • Easily identified • Shape and length of desk is conducive to productive work

Good Job Needs Improvement Office needs more bookshelves No room to maneuver in the professional resource room • Size of the office • Access to both main floor and workroom from media office • Additional computer and scanner for processing in media office • Ample book shelves (professional resource room)

  18. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE SHORT TERM LONG TERM Mobile bookshelves Update computer work stations and chairs • Create more lounge areas • Organize and repurpose various areas • Install concave mirrors • Refresh shelving signs • Create student accessible display area
