  1. Frontier Housing’s mission is to provide affordable housing solutions to build better communities. Frontier is the largest nonprofit single-family home builder in Kentucky. We were founded in 1974 when a handful of committed volunteers supported by area churches came together to provide solutions for the tremendous numbers of families who were living in unsafe, overcrowded and unaffordable conditions. Frontier has focused on becoming the national leader in providing a quality manufactured home with a fair loan – “manufactured housing done right.” Frontier takes every step to assure home appreciation and wealth creation. (Right)-The Community at Edgewood is a rural demonstration of manufactured housing. The project was underwritten by CFED’s I’m Home, Innovations in Manufactured Homes and NeighborWorks America. Frontier is a Clayton Homes and Energy Star Partner.
