  2. “would” A kid is getting bullied in the hallway. What would I do? What would you do? He would like some help. We would help. They would need to talk to the principal.

  3. El Condicional • The conditional is used to express what would occur under certain circumstances.

  4. “would” To translate “would” into Spanish: Use the conditional tense conjugations. Like the future tense: These conjugations are added to the infinitive.

  5. Hablar“Would talk” • hablaría • hablarías • hablaría • hablaríamos • hablaríais • hablarían Note that all of the conditional endings carry a written accent mark.

  6. “would” Like the future tense: All infinitives (ar,er, ir) have the same endings.

  7. Comer“Would eat” • comería • comerías • comería • comeríamos • comeríais • comerían Note that all of the conditional endings carry a written accent mark.

  8. vivir“Would live” • viviría • vivirías • viviría • viviríamos • viviríais • vivirían Note that all of the conditional endings carry a written accent mark.

  9. “would” The conditional tense has the same irregulars as the future tense.

  10. Replace the e/i of the infinitive ending with a “d” • P • S • T • V • pondr • saldr • tendr • vendr

  11. Drop the e/i of the infinitive ending • P • S • Q • C • podr • sabr • querr • cabr

  12. Drop the c and e of the infinitive • H • D • har • dir
