Insights from the North Country Health Improvement Survey: Community Health Priorities Unveiled

The North Country Health Improvement Survey aimed to capture community health priorities by asking residents to rank the three top health issues affecting their area. Over 1,300 surveys were sent to local stakeholders such as healthcare providers, educators, and officials. A total of 411 responses were collected, with 386 being complete. The responses were categorized into three sub-regions: Western Coos, Berlin-Gorham Area, and Northern Grafton.   1. What We Learned From You Health Improvement Survey Results

Design and Purpose • The purpose of the survey was to ask North Country residents to rank the top three health issues affecting their community. • We sent the survey online to over 1300 people who either live or work in the North Country. • The survey was sent to: healthcare providers, business professionals, law enforcement officials, educators, legislators, town officials and other community leaders and members. • All respondents who completed the survey were entered into a drawing to win a Family Season Pass to the New Hampshire State Parks System. The drawing will be conducted today at lunch!

  3. Overall Response • 411 total responses • 386 Complete Responses from across the North Country and the State.

  4. Grouping the Responses – Sub-regions • Based on the number of responses, we grouped the North Country into three separate sub-regions: • Western Coos (Pittsburg, Clarksville, Stewartstown, Dixville,Colebrook, Columbia, Millsfield, Stratford, Stark, Northumberland, Groveton, Lancaster, Whitefield, Jefferson, Dalton, Twin Mountain) • Berlin-Gorham Area (Wentworth’s Location, Errol, Dummer, Cambridge, Milan, Berlin, Randolph, Gorham, Shelburne) • Northern Grafton (Littleton, Bethlehem, Monroe, Lyman, Lisbon, Sugar Hill, Franconia, Lincoln, Bath, Landaff, Easton, Woodsville, Haverhill, Benton, Woodstock, Piermont, Warren)
