Led by Mel Sharer from Pacific Island Healthcare and Pat Akerly, a Nurse Practitioner, this session held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, will clarify the concept of Notifications/Alerts. Session #142 My name is Mel Sharer, I am a CAC from Pacific Island Healthcare System and based in Honolulu. The other instructor for the class is Pat Akerly, Nurse Practitioner and CAC from Pittsburgh, PA How did we come up with the class name? We try to name our classes in our venues theme. If you havent already figured it out, we are at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. With Las Vegas being near the desert, and deserts conjuring up the thoughts of Mirages, and Notifications sometimes mysteriously disappearing like mirages, the name just seemed to stick. ? Objectives Attendees will be able to; Explain the Concept of Notifications/Alerts Explain available tools for Set up Identify Menu Options for troubleshooting Generate Report Outputs At the conclusion of this 100 level class, attendees will be able to Explain the concept of Notifications/Alerts, explain tools used for Notification configuration and Set up, to identify the VistA Menu options used for Notification/Alert Troubleshooting, and to generate reports from the Notification and Alert reporting options. We think the odds are in your favor that you will enjoy this class.At the conclusion of this 100 level class, attendees will be able to Explain the concept of Notifications/Alerts, explain tools used for Notification configuration and Set up, to identify the VistA Menu options used for Notification/Alert Troubleshooting, and to generate reports from the Notification and Alert reporting options.
