  9. The scheme is in 3 parts • ‘Pre A Day’ April 2006 • ‘Post A Day’ April 2006 • 2011 onwards? • What do they mean to you? • Are you in 1,2 or all 3?

  10. 1. ‘Pre A Day’ - FLPRIS Scheme • Retirement age of 35 • Two sections - cash and income • Tax free cash benefits are based on earnings and years of service • Cash benefits are guaranteed • Income section is subject to risk and reward • Limited retirement options

  11. 2. ‘Post A Day’ PFPS Scheme • New retirement age of 55 • Members of previous scheme keep retirement age of 35 • Required a player contribution of 3.75% of basic salary which was matched by PFA • Cash section is trustee invested • Income section should be invested according to a players risk profile • Minimum annual benefit paid by PFA

  13. 3. 2011 - New FRF • £4,750 per annum PFA contribution • Players can contribute if they wish • Tax relief on contributions • 35/55 retirement dates still apply • The investment decisions are made by the trustees and professional advisers
