Vouchsafe • Warrant the secure confinement of something or someone
Conspiracy • A secret plan to do something unlawful or harmful
Foe • An enemy or opponent
Climax • Highly dramatized or intense turning point of a story where a character undergoes a change or realization
Allusion • An implied or indirect reference to a person, event, or thing or to a part of another text
Imagery • Author uses words and phrases to create mental pictures for the reader • Not limited to visual, but includes all senses
Verbal Irony • Use of words to express something other than.. And especially the opposite… of the literal meaning • Simply put: Say one thing and mean the OPPOSITE
