  2. Summary • Dante and Virgil are in the fourth pouch. The sinners walk in a procession with their heads facing backwards. The sinners are crying and there tears fall down there back and onto their buttocks. These are the prophets, astrologists, and magicians; they are forced to look towards the past instead of the future. This is there punishment for attempting to see into the future.

  3. Manto is a main character in Canto 20. She is in the eigth circle. Manto was the founder of Mantua. Matua was the city where Virgil was born. Manto died in Mantua and was buried there and the city was built over her and her servants so that she is forever a part of Mantua.
