  2. Where bear dancing happens! Even though bear dancing is illegal, it still goes on in India and Pakistan. Over two thousand bears are still made to dance. These bears are called Sloth Bears and Black Bears. What happens! People steal the bears when the mother goes out hunting for food and when she comes back they kill her. They pierce a hole in the lip or nose and put a metal ring through it. The bear doesn’t like what they do to it. Sloth bears are becoming extinct because of the bear dancing. Sloth bears and Black bears are the ones that have to put up with the pain because they are used.

  3. What Happens The bears have no anaesthetic and they have their teeth pulled out so they can’t bite their trainers or the people who come to watch. The bears are in a lot of pain but no one believes that. People think it is fun to see bears dance but the bear population is becoming low . People are paying a lot of money. The people who own bears for bear dancing do not have a lot of money. Therefore, when the bears become ill they do not go to the vets and then they can become blind or can die. The bears get dumped when they are old because they are very ill and are hard to look after. The bears are dumped and then the bears do not know how to hunt so then they die of hunger. Some bears also die because they do not know how to find there way so then they die of no water. Some of the bears die with their owner so then the owner dumps it and gets another one.

  4. Where do they go when they are found? When other people who are vets see a bear injured they take it to a care home and then they look after it and then they train it. When they are trained and they are well enough to go into the wild they let them out but give them a tag. Some of the bears that dance are not well enough to go back into the wild. Sometimes the bears get to run free in a cage so they don’t run off but they get lots of fresh air and then they can go to the inside area or there room.
