  1. The Plan • Transform an under-used site into a secret garden to explore • To re-introduce Eastern Ontario native plant species • Raise awareness about our native plants and why bioversity is important

  2. The Need • Kitchissippi Ward has the second lowest per capita ratio of people to park space in Ottawa • Children have little “naturalized” greenspace to learn about biodiversity

  3. Community Involvement • The wild garden will be built and maintain by community volunteers. • Special emphasis will be placed on involving children, teens and seniors. • Community organizations will help with outreach activities

  4. Funding / Support We are seeking funding from these sources: • Walmart/ Evergreen Foundation • Westboro Community Association • Friends of Clare Park • In-kind Donations
