Best IAS Coaching Institutes in Andheri • IAS aspirants must be aware of the pattern of IAS exams. should know about the sectional weight age, marking scheme, and duration of the upcoming exam. the IAS has three stages – • Preliminary • Mains • Personality Test • The Preliminary: there are 2 objective type papers. the weight age of each paper is maximum 400 marks. the criteria to qualify this exam is to score minimum 33% marks. only then the candidate will be allowed to attend the mains exam. • The Mains: it consists of two papers. the qualifying papers and the paper which will be counted as merit. the former contains two language exams, one is English and the other will be of candidate’s choice. the latter contains 7 merit-based and 2 language qualifying papers. • Personality Test – an Interview consisting of 275 marks is is taken, to check the personality of the candidates who qualified the mains. marks obtained in this are referred for the final calculation of the scores.
