  2. You Can Make a Difference Nearly 60% decline in injuries since 1998 (from 16.6 to 6.8 per 1,000 farms) Education plays a big role in this decline. • Farm Safety 4 Just Kids promotes a safe farm environment to prevent health hazards, injuries, and fatalities to children and youth.

  3. Hold a Workshop • Between January and august 2011 • Increase farm safety and health program activity within the states of: • Montana • Wyoming • South Dakota • North Dakota

  4. Available Funding • $1000 per workshop • $500 for educational resources • $500 participant travel incentives • Exact amount determined by participant numbers and distances from meeting • T-shirts provided for programs back home • No funding provided for lunch, snacks, or meeting space

  5. Advisory Group • Develop agenda • Identify speakers • Secure meeting room • Seek out lunch providers • Identify invitees

  6. Help from FS4JK • Coordinate advisory group conference call • E-mail invitations to potential participants • Program flyers and handouts • Conduct workshop sessions on farm-related childhood injuries and FS4JK resources • Provide participant resources
