  2. For the past 30 years, ADRS business relations staff and READI-Net have partnered with Alabama businesses to develop customized, no-cost services for your business. Thousands of employers have discovered the benefits of tapping into these resources  ADRS Business Relations Consultants Over the past five years, the BRC Program has provided 39,187 no-cost services to Alabama business.

How it All Works The General Contractor: The Foundation The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 set forth the public Vocational Rehabilitation program…. • Mandates that states designate an entity to provide services to individuals with disabilities to help them obtain, retain or advance in employment, and • Mandates that the designated agency provide services to businesses to assist them in hiring and retaining individuals with disabilities • Provides Federal funds for the provision of services at a ration of 3/1.

How it All Works The Sub- Contractor: The Supports Community Rehabilitation Programs • Rehabilitation Act allowed VR to spend money on starting and expanding community rehabilitation programs • Community Rehabilitation programs provide job readiness training to our consumers, as well as assist with job development, job placement and job follow-up when a consumer goes to work • State VR agency contracts/pays for services provided by community rehabilitation programs
