  5. 1) Data Highlights • CitiStat team spotlights unique data trends from the centralized data repository • 2) Focus Presentation • Main focus of the CitiStat meeting where a problem is presented, data is highlighted and correlated from repository, stakeholders are identified, and solutions are discussed. Also a preview of future focus presentations are discussed • 3) Issue Spotlights • Issues that are trending in from media, citizen complaints, and/or city council members and the associated data Department Head CitiStat Meeting Format

  6. System Add-Ons Add-On: Value added mechanism or tool that expands and enhances the applicability and usefulness of the base system.

  7. GIS • Using the aggregate information summarized in the CitiStat data repository we can create geospatial representations of city services. Examples include: • Weed cutting plots (year vs year) • Streets salted (amounts used neighborhood vs neighborhood) • City-wide Performance Management Plan • Utilizes the data from the CitiStat data repository to conduct long-term planning and intra-departmental continuous improvement System Add-Ons

Tailor your system to meet your resources • Do not try to copy what Baltimore, DC or NY use in their cities; they have more money and people. • Use foundational tenants and build a model tailor made for your resource level. • The building process is NEVER done • The best systems evolve and grow as the needs, wants, and resources of municipality change and that is OK. • Senior leadership and support are CRUICIAL • The manager or administrator must set the tone on the importance of investing quality time and effort into this endeavor. He or She must convince managers to take ownership of the data. What We Learned
