GEO Web Portal - 2007 • Demonstrated that organizations are capable of providing workable GEO Web Portal solutions • Compusult: http://www.geowebportal.org • ESA-FAO: http://www.geoportal.org • ESRI: http://keel.esri.com/Portal • Though visibly similar & meeting basic requirements, the three offer different feature sets. • Outreach and Evaluation process recommended

AI Pilot Development and Milestones - 2007 • Effective development process: • Call for Participation (CFP) April-May 2007 • Kickoff workshop at ESA June 2007 • Integration and deployment September 2007 • Demonstration for Plenary & Summit November 2007 • Participation via distributed international • 105 Organizations responded to CFP • Now: ~120 organizations registered for communication • IOC established: • Core Architecture, User Interfaces, Services • Core Architecture Implementation Report November 2007

AR-07-02 Further Development • Increase collaboration with GEO Committees • Increase commitment to Operations and Persistence • Refine architecture • Add Sensor Web services and component types • Refine and enhance Workflow for observation processing and decision support • Two items added to task • Persistent Infrastructure for Service Integration • GEOSS User and Architecture Workshops

GEO Architecture Workshop • February 4&5, 2008 • Co-located at JRC Ispra with ADC-6 • Purpose: Consensus building in support of CFP • Topics • SBA context areas defined with UIC as scenarios • Begin refinement of the CFP-2007 architecture • Sustained operations for information components • Core Architecture Implementation Report topics • ~50 persons attended; plenary and parallel sessions
