Report of Industry Liaison Committee2/6 (2) Visions: • Promote IEEE activities of the industry. • Enhance academia-industry collaboration to performreal-time knowledge-sharing dedicatedly for R & D. • Create benefits for academia-industry partnership to achieve innovations. (3) Activities: • We have established two awards - IEEE Region 10 Milestone Award - IEEE Region 10 Academia-Industry Partnership Award

Report of Industry Liaison Committee3/6 (3.1) IEEE Region 10 Milestone Award We just received a nomination for this Award, for which the evaluation has started. ********** [Comments]As for the IEEE Milestones,currently there are almost 80 Milestones around the World. The number of Milestones in Region 10 has increased to seven, as follows.

Report of Industry Liaison Committee5/6 The requirements for an achievement to be an IEEE Region 10 Milestone Award are - it must be at least 20 years old, - it must have involved a unique solution to an engineering problem, and - it must have had at least regional impact. Report of Industry Liaison Committee6/6 (3.2) IEEE Region 10 Academia-Industry Partnership Award - Our Committee voted to recommend to the IEEE R10 ExCom approval of the Nomination from IEEE Kharagpur Section, and the ExCom approved it at the last meeting on Jan. 13, 2008. - Name of Project: “Modeling, Fabrication and Characterization of Nanoscale CMOS Devices and RF Modeling of CMOS and Passive Devices for SOC Solution” - Academia-Industry Partners: Academia: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India Industry:Institute of Microelectronics, Singapore, and IHP GmbH, Franfurt, Germany Budget; 1,500 US$ (2008)
