Teaching Mitigation in Higher Education

The Natural Hazard Mitigation Association (NHMA) strives to unite individuals, organizations, and disciplines dedicated to hazard mitigation. With a focus on education, NHMA provides resources for the training of future emergency and disaster managers, equips educators with tools to teach hazard mitigation, and fosters partnerships with other organizations like IAEM and ASFPM. Members have access to a wealth of knowledge, networking opportunities, and public outreach resources to ensure community resilience. Together, we can enhance the effectiveness of hazard mitigation efforts.
