MANUFACTURING FACILITIES MELT SHOP • ARC FURNACE 25MT • INDUCTION FURNACE 16MT • INDUCTION FURNACE 8MT • Mini Blast Furnace =100MT/Day • 30 MT LADDLE FURNACE & VACUUM DEGASSING SecondaryRefining Unit. • The Melting Unit is backed by a modern analytical lab using computerized emission spectrometer.

  8. INGOT SHOP-EQUIPMENTS • Annealing furnace for ingot annealing • Bottom pouring or uphill teeming Ingot casting facility. • Load cell to control teeming/pouring rate. • Argon/Nitrogen shrouding during casting/ teeming. • Ingot dressing and inspection facility

Metallurgical Commitments • Grade and chemical composition as per IS, ASME, SAE, DIN, EN, BS, JIS specifications. • Low residuals control as per specification • Low gas levels- Hydrogen: 2 ppm max; Oxygen: 25 ppm max; Nitrogen : 80 ppm max. • Grain size: 5-8 as per ASTM E-112 (Grade specific) • Internal soundness as per ASTM E-381 and ASTM E-45 • specifications • Ultrasonic requirements as per specifications • Special requirements can be tailor made.

  11. FORGE SHOP-FACILITIES Forging press : 2500T OPEN DIE Push Down Forging Press(Hydraulic) with 25T integrated manipulator Ingot heating : 50T – 2 nos(Max Temp-1300 ºC) 100T – 1 no. (Max Temp-1300 ºC) Heat treatment: 100T Annealing -2 nos (Max Temp-1000 ºC) All post forging heat treatment furnaces are gas fired with furnace temperature controlled within +/- 3º C. Hardening furnace : 50T – 2 nos Tempering furnace : 50T – 2 nos Max job length : 8.5 M Quenching Tank size: Water Quenching : 7M(L) x4M(W)x 3.5 M(H) Oil Quenching : 7M(L) x4M(W)x 2.5 M(H) Quench Bath is provided with double agitation facility(a)Nozzle Agitation (b) Up-Down cradle facility thereby maintaining complete bath temperature within +/- 10º of ambient temperature - Contd -
