Hong Kong Fast Facts Climate • The city tends to be hot and humid in September / October. • Typhoon season runs from April to October. • You are recommended to carry a sweater or wrap as, despite subtropical climate, the air-conditioning inside the hotels, restaurants or shopping malls can be strong.

  4. Hong Kong Fast Facts Transport • I arrived Hong Kong, how do I get to my hotel? • You can commute between the Hong Kong International Airport and the city centre by the train "Airport Express". It is more expensive than other transport means but: • The train is linked with the underground "MTR" so it is easy to get to. • Unlike other transport means, the train platform is right inside the airport building so it is convenient. • The train journey to or from city centre takes approximately 23 minutes. • There is free shuttle service at the key station to major hotels.

What is Octopus card? • If you want to get around Hong Kong efficiently, pay for snacks, drinks and attractions without struggling with unfamiliar banknotes and want to avoid a pocketful of coins, then buy an Octopus card as soon as you arrive in Hong Kong. • Buy your Octopus Card from the Customer Service Centre in almost any MTR station, including in the Airport. • In HK, with the exception of taxis and some public minibuses, all modes of transport accept Octopus card.

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) is located in Wan Chai North. Built along the Victoria Harbour, it is linked by covered walkways to nearby hotels and commercial buildings. Currently, the closest MTR station serving the HKCEC is Wan Chai Station (exit C) on the Island Line. In addition, the HKCEC is served by bus routes number 2A, 8, 40, 40M, 960 and 961.

Hong Kong One Day Tour Heritage Tour with Dinner Cruise 08:45 Pick up at hotel 09:15 – 13:00 Morning Tour Chi Lin Nunnery 志蓮淨苑 Established in 1934 and renovated in Tang dynasty style (AD 618 - 907) in 1990, the Chi Lin Nunnery is a large temple complex of elegant wooden architecture, treasured Buddhist relics and soul - soothing lotus ponds. The complex also includes a series of temple halls, some of which contain gold, clay and wooden statues representing divinities such as the Shakyamuni Buddha and bodhisattvas.

Hong Kong One Day Tour PMQ 元創方 Located in Hong Kong, the land between Aberdeen Street, Staunton Street, Hollywood Road and Shing Wong Street is a historic site containing a grade III listed building, the old Hollywood Road Police Married Quarters, now used as a mixed-use venue for arts and design. PMQ, as it is now known, occupies what was originally the grounds of Queen's College, which built a school on the site in 1889. After wartime damage, the site was repurposed as quarters for married junior policemen.
