  2. Let’svisit London … This morningyoutookthe Eurostar from France and nowyou are atSt Pancras.

  3. London is a big city. It’sthe capital city of England. There are 8,278,251 inhabitants. To compare, there are 2,153,600 inhabitants in Paris.

  4. There are a lot of monuments thatyoucanvisit. London issobigthatyou must take the underground. This is the London underground map:

  5. In England, itis a monarchybecausethereis a queen. The Queenis Elizabeth II. Shewasborn on April 21st 1926. Shewascrowned on June 2nd 1952.

  6. Shelives in Buckingham Palace. A lot of tourists go and see the palace everyday.

  7. Sometimesyoucansee the changing of guard. It isveryimpressing …

  8. The queen has got a bigfamily :

  9. There is a queen but there is also a government, so it is a Constitutional Monarchy. The chief of the government is the Prime Minister: His name is Gordon Brown. He lives at 10 Downing Street.

  10. There isalso a Parliament. It iscomposed of twohouses: - The House of Lords. - The House of Commons. The members of Parliament(MPs) are elected by the people and theywork in the House of Commons. The Parliamentdebates and passes the laws (legislation). Let’shave a look wheretheywork !!! This isthe Houses of the Parliamentand Big Ben :

  18. Now, itis time to do shopping. You canmeetyourfriendsatPiccadilyCircus. This famouscrossroadsisnearshops and theatres, soyoucan do shopping and thensee a musical !!

  19. If youwant to do shopping, youcan go to Harrods. Harrods is a veryfamousdepartment store … but the problemisthatitisveryveryexpensive. There are onlyluxuriousproducts !!!

  21. Nowitis 6 pm … time for a drink ! This is a typical English pub. English people like to gather for a drink or eatafterwork. Theycan talk and relax ! The atmosphereisalwaysgreat !!
