This study delves into the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and its anisotropy patterns to gain insights into the large-scale structure of the universe. By analyzing the 100 CMB anisotropy power spectrum, we compare standard inflation models with defect models, highlighting characteristic oscillations in CMB power. Results are adapted from Bennett et al. (February 11, 2003) to understand the implications of these insights on “active” models of cosmic evolution. This work sheds light on fundamental questions about the universe's origins and its expanding nature.
