  2. Costume Safety! • Keep away from candles because you might catch on fire. • Double tie your shoe laces because you might trip and fall. • Wear a flame retardant costume because you might catch on fire. • Hem your costume so you don’t trip and fall.

  3. Candy Safety! • Check candy of original wrapper before eating. • Cary an extra Halloween bag because the original one might brake or fill up.

  4. Stranger Safety! • Trick or treat in familiar neighborhoods because you might get taken away by a stranger. • Never get into a stranger’s car or go anywhere with a stranger.

  5. Other Tips! • Carry a flashlight with fresh batteries. • Carry along money for a phone call or food. • Be polite and say thank you. • Walk, no running!

  6. Traveling Safety • Plan root ahead of time. • Away travel in groups. • Obey traffic signals. • If no sidewalk stay on the left of the road facing traffic. • Approach houses that are lit up.
