  2. Introduction: What are flowers for? What purpose do flowers serve?

  3. Getting Started (GS): • Read “Methods of Reproduction” • Discuss • Agree on the function of a flower and describe the function in your science notebook.

  4. Inquiry 9.1 Dissection • Follow the procedures on p 108-110 • Observe the male reproductive structures • Observe the female reproductive structures • Observe pollen grains • Complete drawings and label accordingly

  5. Inquiry 9.2 Pollination • Procedure on p 111 • Pollinate your set of Wisconsin Fast Plants by moving pollen from the anthers to the stigma. • Keep the “pollinator” • Repeat the pollinating process for about one week
