SHARE Special ProjectSHARE Benefits Optimization The SHARE Benefits Optimization project is requesting Release of Funding for the Implementation & Close Phases Project Justification: The PeopleSoft Benefits Administration module was installed as part of the original SHARE implementation • This module is utilized statewide to process benefits for State employees • RMD provides various lines of insurance coverage and health benefits programs for 80,000 public employees and their dependents • This project will remediate and expand the use of this module in order to increase efficiencies and reduce costs for approximately 20,000 state employees and their dependents

  3. SHARE Special ProjectSHARE Benefits Optimization Project Objective - implement defined technical/functional recommendations identified in the FY2011 Oracle Health Assessment. PHASE I - The following enhancements and corrective actions will be managed and implementedin alignment with TPA transition and Open Enrollment • Re-allocation/Clean Up of SHARE system security • State HR, RMD EBB staff, Third Party Administrator • Business Process As-Is/To-Be Workflows and Re-Engineering • Financial • Benefits Processing • Carrier 834 Files • Enrollment – Elections/Changes/Terminations • Customer Service • Snapshot • Restart benefits Administration by deleting existing data from transaction tables and performing another snapshot • .

SHARE Special ProjectSHARE Benefits Optimization • New Development • Force Finalize setup page and program • Nightly batch job • Automation for Overage Dependent updates • Run on-demand to update BAS_GROUP_ID based on criteria • PeopleCode or SQR/passive event to start BEN event 2 pay periods without leave • Other Fixes • PeopleCode that assigns BAS_GROUP_ID needs to be changed. We will need only one group. • What is the process that is running in production that kicks off BenAdmin every time a JOB row is added? • Implement Self Service – e-Benefits • Open Enrollment – 12/1/2013 • Training/Training Materials • HR/DFA Payroll/RMD/DoIT SHARE/TPA • Marketing Self Service • State Employees/Dependents
