Nahum 3:8-13Suffer the Fate of No Amon • v.8-9 No Amon (Thebes) was well fortified, had many allies • v.10 No Amon destroyed and plundered in 663 B.C. by Ashurbanipal, ruler of Assyria, in cruel and brutal fashion • v.11-13 Nineveh’s resistance will be likewise ineffective. She is “ripe” for the picking

  10. Nahum 3:14-19Nineveh's Fall Inevitable/Final • v.14-15 The city’s defenses will fail • v.16-17 The city’s financial and military assets will fail • v.18 Nineveh’s leaders will perish, her people will scatter • v.19a There will be no recovery • v.19b Widespread rejoicing at Nineveh’s fall
