Louisiana SIEC FY 2009 IECGP Project Descriptions • FY 2009 IECGP Grant Application Deadline – January 13, 2009 • 80% Pass Through to Local Sub Recipients • Total Amount of Funding Allocated to Louisiana - $859,524 • IECGP funds to purchase interoperable emergency communications equipment are authorized if and only if it has achieved or will achieve all Priority Group 1 and 2 objectives (Governance, Planning, Training and Exercises). • A State Administrative Agency (SAA) must certify that its State or territory has fulfilled these governance, planning, training and exercise objectives prior to proposing a project for the purchase of interoperable communications equipment with any remaining IECGP funds. • 75% / 25% Cost Share on Equipment Purchases • FY 2009 IECGP has a 75% Federal and 25% State cost share, cash or in-kind, requirement for equipment purchases only.

Louisiana SIEC FY 2009 IECGP Project Descriptions FY 2009 IECGP, Project #1 • Enhancement of common interoperable communications governance • IECGP Objective: Louisiana will continue to establish and formalize regional interoperable communications governance and leadership ensuring representation from each public safety discipline including tribal and governmental organizations as appropriate.

Louisiana SIEC FY 2009 IECGP Project Descriptions FY 2009 IECGP, Project #2 • Enhancement of common interoperable communications plans, procedures and assessments. • IECGP Objective: Louisiana will continue to develop and enhance statewide and regional common interoperable communications plans, procedures and assessments.

Louisiana SIEC FY 2009 IECGP Project Descriptions FY 2009 IECGP, Project #3 • Development of common interoperable communication outreach, training and exercise programs and workshops. • IECGP Objective: Louisiana will develop an interoperable communication education and outreach program to educate local and state agency first responders on the various interoperable communications equipment resources available. In addition to developing formalized interoperable communications training and exercise programs and workshops.
