  1. How to Clean Nozzles on an Epson Printer? • Are you using an Epson Printer? If so, you must have faced some issues while using it. You must have noticed that, at times, the print quality of your printer diminishes. • When the printing quality of your Epson printer reduces, it might be due to clogged nozzles. The print heads in a printer transfers the ink to the paper. With time, the ink used in the printer might dry up and block the print heads. Therefore, it is very important to clean the nozzle heads. If the nozzle heads are cleaned on a regular basis, these blockages can be cleared and there will be no obstruction in the proper flow of ink.

If you want to properly clean the nozzles, you need to open the printer and remove the print head with your hand. • Step 1 : Switch on the power of the Epson printer and remove the top case of the printer. When the ink carriage slides from the right and comes into view, you need to detach the power cable from the electrical wall outlet.

  3. Step 2: You need to displace the screws that are keeping the top half of the printer into place. You can also remove it entirely if you notice that there is no space left for the Epson model to move about with its top open. • Step 3: Bend back the plastic tabs that hold the plastic covers into place over the ink carriage. Pull the plastic covers off of the carriage and then set them aside. Pull off the plastic tabs on the sides of the carriage.

  4. Step 4: Pull off the two plastic clips that hold the ribbon cable into place that are connected to the carriage. Disconnect the cable by grabbing both sides of the connector and then gently lift it straight up. Set the cable aside. • Step 5: Remove the screws that clutches the plastic piece that was connected to the cable. You need to remove the plastic piece if you want to see the rectangular print head.

  5. Step 6: You need to carefully remove the print-head and pull it out of the printer. You can put some Windex on a soft cloth or sponge and cleanse the print head down. Then keep it untouched for few minutes and let it dry. After it dries up, keep it back in the printer.
