Status of Key IT procurement initiatives – COTS Software New Method of Supply – Software Licencing Supply Arrangement: Consultations ongoing: • Briefing to CIO Council – 21 May 2010 – positive response • Client consultations – CIO/IT and Procurement communities on going • Industry consultations continue – ITAC has raised issues for resellers • Meeting with ITAC reps May 18th – provided list of issues. • SSSPD will respond, provide additional clarifications • Suggest - face to face meeting with key resellers/ITAC • Schedule: Consultations complete, draft RFSA to be released by end June

Status of key IT procurement initiatives - Professional Services • Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS) • The TSPS Standing Offers (over 200) and Task Based Supply Arrangements (over 200) have been awarded, & these will be effective June 30 to coincide with an enabling online site & system launch. PWGSC is now focusing on the Supply Arrangement (Solutions) awards also for June 30th and debriefing suppliers who bid on the RFSO and RFSA.   • These procurement tools will provide professional services for HR, Project Mgt. and Change Mgt./Business services. PWGSC will be providing client user training in June. • The TSPS Standing Offers have been awarded (over 200) & these will be effective June 30 to coincide with an enabling online site & system launch. PWGSC is now focusing on the Supply Arrangement (Tasks) awards, also for for June 30th. Supply Arrangement (Solutions) may come later. • These procurement tools will provide professional services for HR, Project Mgt, and Change Mgt/Business services. PWGSC will be providing client user training in June.

Status of key IT procurement initiatives – Professional Services • Informatics Professional Services (IPS) • 1st Task Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) refresh is completed • The number of TBIPS Standing Offers increased 203 to 281 • The number of TBIPS Supply Arrangements increased from 204 to 252 • Approximately 300SO/SA Holders (companies) for TBIPS – SBIPS • Effective date of SOs and SAs is April 29th, 2010 • The Solution Based Informatics Professional Services (SBIPS) documents have been updated and currently appear on MERX. Existing Supply Arrangements (SA) will be updated during this quarter to reflect the new terms and conditions • Last refresh resulted in an increase of SBIPS SAs from 58 to 90 • Next IPS Advisory Committee meeting will be held June 16th, 2010.

  5. Status of key IT procurement initiatives - Computers and Storage • The next Archival Storage Request For Standing Offer document has been drafted. The solicitation is currently being translated and should be ready to issue on MERX this Spring. • Development of the new UNIX NMSO is underway.  It is intended to have the solicitation document completed, translated and ready to issue in Summer 2010.  • Both existing NMSOs will expire in Fall 2010.

Status of key IT procurement initiatives -Government Enterprise Network Services (GENS) • Solicitation of Interest and Qualification (SOIQ) closed on 29 March 2010 • All five responses to SOIQ were qualified and moved on to the Due Diligence Phase. • Due Diligence began April 26, 2010 and during Due Diligence, Qualified Suppliers were given an opportunity to enhance their understanding of the GENS requirements.

Status of key IT procurement initiatives -Cyber Authentication Renew Program • The evaluation of the RFP # 1 proposals, Security Assertion Mark-up Language (SAML) enabled credential selector (federation broker), is progressing • An update on RFP #2 was published on MERX on 28 May 2010. • The key element of the update is as follows: “Based on these inputs from industry and the approaches being taken by other governments, the GC has modified its procurement approach. Under this new approach, the RFP that the GC will issue on June 30, 2010 will solicit a single vendor that would operate the Federation Broker, provide access to multiple Credential Service Providers, and also manage the relationship and the trust model with them.”

Status of key IT procurement initiatives • Networking Equipment Support Services (NESS) standing offers: • NESS 1 refresh and NESS 2 (new categories) are being evaluated • - Data Centre Co-location Services: • The Bank of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency and Public Works and Government Services Canada have a requirement to acquire high availability data centre co-location services in the National Capital Region • RFI #1 was posted on 6 November 2009; nine responses submitted • RFI #2, including the Draft RFP, was posted on 30 March 2010 and closed on 13 April 2010; eight responses submitted • One-on-one meetings were held with RFI #2 respondents on May 14, 2010 • Final revisions to the RFP on-going • RFP target date for publication is June 2010

Status of key IT procurement initiatives • - Converged Network Services (CNS) Collective #3 RFP: • RFP was issued on 20 May 2010 with a closing date of 02 July 2010 • Qs&As are being addressed as they come in • - Converged Network Services (CNS) Data Centre Connectivity Network (DCCN) RFP: • RFP is expected to be issued by mid June • - Government Cellular Services (GCS) RFP: • RFP is expected out in Q2 • - ISDN PRI Request for Standing Offer: • Expected to be posted on GETS in June 2010, with a 15 day closing

Status of key IT procurement initiatives • Shared Travel Services Request for Information (RFI) • ·The STS program, managed by PWGSC on behalf of the Government of Canada, provides an end-to-end portfolio of corporate travel management services. • ·The Shared Travel Services RFI was released on Merx May 26, 2010 and closes August 25, 2010. (EP398-110362/A) • ·The feedback from the RFI will be used as input to the Request for Proposal (RFP). • ·The target for the RFP to be published on MERX is March 2011 leading to an anticipated contract award by March 2012.

  11. Status of key IT procurement initiatives • Real Property Business and Systems Transformation (RPBST) Project - PWGSC Real Property Branch • Multi-year transformation initiative • Development and implementation of a business transformation and IT solution • Retender Request for Proposal under development, should be posted shortly • Contract award anticipated for late 2010
