  2. Earth moving equipment is the heavy duty equipment that is used to remove earth, debris, boulders and rocks from a construction site. • The most commonly used earth moving equipment is excavators, backhoe loaders, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, motor graders and trenchers.

  3. An Excavator is mounted on wheels or tracks and is used to dig trenches, holes or foundations, rough grading and lifting of pipes, prefab pieces, and other equipment.

  4. Backhoe loaders are similar to tractors but they have an adjustable shovel in front and a bucket at the back of loader which is used for digging. • A Backhoe loader is a smaller piece of equipment and is ideal for use when there is limited space to perform the operations.
