Southwest Airlines have the same rules and regulations for liquids and gels in the flight cabin as all other low-cost airlines. This means passengers are not allowed to bring any liquid or gel-filled containers larger than 3.4 ounces and all the containers must be placed in a proper single, clear plastic bag.

THINGS NOT ALLOWED IN SOUTHWEST AIRLINES FLIGHTS Passengers are not allowed to carry sharp items like knives, meat cleavers or box cutters onto the Southwest air planes as security staff will not allow you to take these items with you. Several sports items including ski poles, golf clubs, lacrosse sticks, must also travel on the hold.
