I am going to show you how to make clothes in 3ds max and how to apply simulations and just go over the things. I am set up a quick little simulation here of something the workflow that would usually happen. So what we do is apply cloth modifier just basically every time.   3. Today we will learn How to Make Clothes in 3ds Max

  4. Simulations • I am going to show you how to make clothes in 3ds max and how to apply simulations and just go over the things. I am set up a quick little simulation here of something the workflow that would usually happen. So what we do is apply cloth modifier just basically every time. We need a cloth and through this we have a lot of options one thing we want to make sure of that is the cinemas per unit if make sure that’s around that value and then gravity is the same because this is what affects the physics.

Dynamic simulations • Another important thing is we can group vertices to stay where they are by selecting group making a group naming it and choosing preserve that way it stays where it is and then that’s pretty much it set a cluster except for running dynamic simulations. Now we want to preserves two vertices that are attached to the character and unpreserved the vertices that are not attached together we want the simulations.

  6. Permanent clothes Animations • So when want to create a permanent clothes animation we do this setup once we choose what we want to choose the collision factor. Now we set an inactive a cloth or collision object clears and object of things like your body your mesh things that will you overreact and hits your mesh itself would be a cloth a good thing is to start is there is a default. If you have a cloth that acts more like it. Click simulates and it will simulate through and I have done this already so let me just delete that and show you what it looks like you have simulated so it’s a fairly good result you can notice some problems in the edges if we were up the sub settle wreck to five will create  a better simulation as I wrote five times more longer kind of calculation but that’s basically how we did the cloth now to do cloth characters it’s based on the same if you imagine this as arm what we do is attach the cloth to the arm using simulated. Garment Maker • You notice it moves very pretty much like plane but after we at the simulation we set up the properties we attach the vertices we want to attach the forum by preserving it and then run the simulations you find it acts a lot more cloth and that if follows the character around so let’s load up. Then break the vertices. Then add the garment maker modifier to the line now increase the density as three than the same process to pant. In garment maker select the figure then mark the points on figure. Now first by doing pant in garment maker go do panels select one pant mesh. Then fix it to front center here your mesh is ready little bit adjusted and again set the back mesh to stitch the pant seems. Select the edge as for show it then.

  8. Warning Scene • Click on create seen here some warning scene tolerance too long. Click ok then increase the scene tolerance amount from ffs then again create the scene now see the seams same create other scenes. Now here all scenes created. Now add the cloth modifier in object properties select the line. Then apply the cloth property press as spandex offset as poly blood. Then add body object to cloth repeating. Then set it as collision then offset also 0.1 then Okay. Now click on simulate local here your clock is simulating. From ffs here are some seams then cloth are not stick properly in modifier disable the sewing springs now simulates it ear your pant is ready same as T-shirt also.
