  4. What the Industry is Saying… Yankee Group U.S. Carrier Satisfaction Survey, 2010 Enterprise Accounts:“Sprint tops Verizon and AT&T in overall satisfaction as #1 provider of wireless voice and data service among large business customers.”   Small & Medium Business: “Sprint ranks #1 in wireless voice service pricing and data service pricing among small and medium business customers.” PC World “No one has a more reliable network than Sprint based on a recent 13 city 3G performance test” ** **"PC World’s test included Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile in thirteen major cities in all regions of the country during December 2009 & January 2010. In all, roughly 9,000 individual tests of Sprint's 3G service were conducted from 280 testing locations in 13 cities. Testing sessions were one minute in duration per location, and network performance can be highly variable from neighborhood to neighborhood. In laptop-based tests, Sprint tied with another carrier for first in 3G network reliability."

  5. Sprint Data LinkSM

  6. Sprint Data Link Secure, private connection between your network and the Sprint Network • Multiple security features protect data • Faster access by eliminating overhead for IPSec client • Auto-reconnect feature maintains connection • Employees stay connected to information they need to be most effective in the field • Flexible IP addressing options • Broadband speeds where available

  7. 3G High Speed Wireless Interface Card (HWIC)

  8. Supports CDMA (EVDO Rev O and A) Target Applications—WAN Backup, Rapid Deployment, Portable Applications Offers broadband data rates, up to T1/E1 speeds Embedded 3G Modem Supported on Cisco 1841 / 2800 / 3800 Series Routers Sprint 3G High Speed Wireless Interface Card Accessing the Sprint EV-DO Rev A wireless network with the Cisco 3G HWIC provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional dedicated data access for business continuity of critical applications

  9. Benefits • Cost Effective – when using wireless access as an alternative to traditional low speed wireline access such as MPLS VPN or Frame Relay. The customer can typically save 50% or more on monthly access costs. • Rapid Deployment – because there is no need to wait for a wire line connection, the 3G HWIC can be activated on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Rev A network immediately giving businesses instant communications for time critical store openings or impromptu events. • Portability/Disaster Recovery – once the wireless connection is established a business can move the device to different locations simply by unplugging and plugging back in. In the case of a disaster, devices can be deployed rapidly to re-establish critical communications. • Network Diversity – wireless communications are not subject to the same outage scenarios as a wireline connection giving businesses true network diversity. Network planning is also simplified as there is no need to figure out diverse paths into a building. • The Sprint Mobile Broadband Network – Sprint’s EV-DO Rev A network is available nationwide with speeds suitable for sub-T1 connections. • Secure Communications – Sprint’s Data Link is an optional service that provides secure access from the remote location back to the enterprise network where corporate policies can be applied to control the remote user’s access and protect the integrity of the wireless communications. • Sprint Managed Services – Optional services where Sprint will install, configure, and maintain a customer’s Cisco Integrated Service Router, 3G HWIC along with the Sprint Wireless connection.

  10. Sprint 4G Mobile Broadband

  11. 4G is the next generation of wireless networks that will work with the third generation (3G) network Provides high speed, high capacity, IP based services for video, data and voice (Voice over IP) Sprint 4G is powered by WiMAX on an integrated global network that is based on open standards Provides high-speed experience beyond the wireline home or office boundaries Sprint is the only national wireless carrier delivering 4G today What is 4G? High speed, high capacity network providing superior performance Sprint 4G is capable of delivering up to 10 times faster download speeds than 3G networks

  12. Sprint Nextel Spectrum Allows Growth

  13. WiMax Security • WiMax is MORE SECURE than WiFi! • WiMax security is equivalent to or better than CDMA 3G1X/EVDO • Encrypted air interface – 128 bit AES (FIPS-197) in CCM mode per RFC3610 • EAP-TLS (RFC 2716) with X.509 certificates used for 2 way verification of device authenticity • Two way authentication greatly reduces the chance of spoofing • DataLink and StaticIP will use EAP-TTLS for additional security • Private backhaul • Inter-Company interfaces are private circuits, not Internet • Intrusion Detection/Prevention • Integrated into CLWR DPI system for Simple IP • Sprint hosted Mobile IP has addition of all Vision security (firewalls, etc)
