  1. Charity Night In cooperation with the Comenius Project ”Today’s Food – Tomorrows World”

  2. As a finale to our Comenius project we chose to arrange a charity event to raise money for UNICEF. It was held March 30 at our school. We hosted this event because the project is about health and lifestyle. This fundraising will help some childred get food, clean water and education.

  3. In order to get money we sold tickets to the event and had a lottery with prizes sponsored by companies in Umeå. We also had a fundraise.

  4. The theme were of course our project. Therefore we started the evening with a presentation containing some information about the project and the participating countries.

  5. We served some famous dishes from the different countries to show people the cultural differences among food habits. There was also a dietician there whom you could ask for consultation. Italian Foccacia and Tzaziki from Greece Spanish Tortilla Agaricus with Garlic from Spain

  6. We invited many children to the evening because our project focusesmuch on the future. There were many activities for them. An example is face-painting and the kids were also able to put together their own dream meal and then we explained what was healthy and not.

  7. The entertainment consisted of two dancing groups and one singning performance which were much appreciated.

  8. We had two school companies there. 20% of the sales during the evening went to Unicef.

  9. A spokesperson from Unicef was there. She talked about their organisation. At the end of the evening she received a check. The money will be used to education and medicine, which in many ways will help the children.

  10. That’s all! Thank you for everything!
