A Kill Switch will benefit iPhone users in many ways

iPhones come at a high price and they are commonly targeted by thieves due to the high value they can fetch in the market. To deter thieves, Apple came up with the ‘kill switch’. This application allows the user of a phone to disable it remotely incase it is lost or stolen. In case the phone had been stolen, and it is disabled using the kill switch, the thief cannot use it, making it useless.

  2. iPhones come at a high price and they are commonly targeted by thieves due to the high value they can fetch in the market. To deter thieves, Apple came up with the ‘kill switch’. This application allows the user of a phone to disable it remotely incase it is lost or stolen. In case the phone had been stolen, and it is disabled using the kill switch, the thief cannot use it, making it useless.

  3. Apple calls the ‘kill switch’ Activation Lock, and it will be standard on its devices, starting with iPhone 5s and 5c in which the lock was unveiled. This application will benefit the iPhone users in many ways. All one needs to do to lock or disable it is to go to the website, log in and deactivate. From there on the phone cannot be used

  4. Buying an iPhone requires spending of a lot of money, and if it is on contract, one may end up paying for it for about two years. If the phone is stolen, one incurs huge loss. If the Iphone has the Activation Lock, the phone can be diabled or locked in case it is stolen. This will mean that it will not have any value in the hands of a thief because it cannot be sold or used. This will discourage thieves from stealing iPhones leaving the user at peace of knowing that the phone is safe.
