In simple terms epoxy floor are made from multiple epoxy layers that are applied into the floor for various purposes. Many people are unable to decipher epoxy floors from epoxy coatings.

  3. For epoxy floors, the thickness of the epoxy layer must be over 2 millimeter in thickness, anything that is less than this is called an epoxy coating. Epoxy floors have found their rightful places in beverages plants, food processing industries, freezers and cold storage stores, pharmaceuticals, CIP areas, commercial kitchens etc.  Epoxy floors are made from the combination of epoxy resins’ end product and hardeners which triggers a chemical reaction forming a plastic material that is rigid, strong and wear resistant.

  4. Benefits of epoxy floors These floors are exceptionally durable serving individuals for many years with any sign of wear, abrasion or corrosions. They are also non-porous hence doesn’t absorb chemical foods, milk or anything else that falls from machines into the floor. This means that the cleaning of the floor no odor is left which explains why they are used in hotels, food processing plants as odor of substance that falls from the table or machines leave once the floor is swept.

  5. Epoxy floors are chemical, moisture resistant. Many chemical manufacturing companies rely on these epoxy floors as they are corrosive resistant to chemicals that may spill over from the machines and come into contact with the floor. Some chemicals such as sulphuric acids are very corrosive and tend to ‘eat away’ surfaces that it comes into contact with. The epoxy floors don’t forms molds as a result of high moisture contents hence suitable in place when the temperature is kept low.

  6. These floors combines the aesthetic beauty with and a sense of durability to ensure that apart from being pleasing to the eye this floors can continue to give services for long periods of time. These floors are resistant to high traffic impact hence they don’t change their texture as a result of being stepped on by many people. Epoxy floors are available in various colors and textures depending on their intended applications.

  7. There are different types of epoxy floors which are suitable for different applications. Epoxy mortar floors is the strongest among all the epoxy floors and is mainly used to repair old floors hence eliminating weakness that may be brought by the previous floor once repaired. In terms of strength, the self leveling epoxy floor are also very strong and they are mainly preferred for use in places that experience to high traffic as its impact cannot alter the texture of these floors. Places like hotels require a pleasing floor that will attract the eyes visitors.

  8. This are the best type of decorative epoxy floor that also comes with great ease when cleaning and also slip-resistant properties, hence the likelihood of people being injured as a result of falling is reduced. Quartz epoxy floors may be used for decoration purposes too, as it is similar to the decorative one in terms of properties. Epoxy flakes exist in forms of colored flakes that are usually laid down within floors to give extra beauty to the floor. Metallic epoxy floors combine the properties of decorative epoxy floors and that of epoxy floors hence it is used f or decoration purposes as well as for slip prevention.
